April 2006
Is the month that we all changed our lives. Lets keep the board going with inspirational thoughts, work-out/walking routines, Wow moments, Non-scale victories and just plain updates.
I will personally try not lurk so much as I recently realized that what I may be going through in the pain department someone else may have experienced the same thing.
My first post-op appointment is tomorrow I am not sure how much I have lost kinda scared its not as much as I am expecting.

My surgery was the 20th and my first post op appointment is Thursday. I'm drinking my water and walking every day (not far but walking). Every few days I am supposed to add new food and new consistencies of food and every time I do I get really nervous. I guess I'm doing so well I'd almost like to just stay eating mushy food than risk having something that doesn't agree with me. I am following the Dr.'s orders and adding the different foods when I'm supposed to, I just get really nervous.
I'm trying to not think about how much I've lost. Everyone is different and loses at different rates so I don't want to set myself up for dissapointment.

Hi Heidi,
Great post ! I am with ya all the way , girlfriend ! I had my surgery on the 20 th and my first post op visit is on May 8 th. I am tolerating everything well so far and adding new thing's one at a time everyday . The only food I had a little problem with was refried bean's . they made me gassy and I was gassy to start with so they added to the misery ! I just don't eat them now , I will try them at another time .
I am getting in all my fluid's and walking a little more each day . I am following my doc's order's to a "T" , don't want to ask for any problem's by not following them !
I have lost 18 lbs. since surgery 6 of them water weight that I gained from IV fluid's in the hospital .
I currently have a G-Tube and it will be removed on my first post-op visit ....Can't Wait !
I am very happy with my result's so far !
I wish you all the very, very best with your journey's to a new and healthier you !
and
