Hi everyone! I had my lap DS on April 25th and came home on the 27th. Have been doing fairly well..just a little nausea off and on. Trying to sip, sip, sip and walking even outside a little. I have aquestion about sleeping positions...my lower abdomen is so sore when I lay on my side, like I don't have enough support or something...it' not really painful, just sore...anyone have similiar feelings? and more importantly...suggestions?!! Thanks! Lisa

When I was in the hospital the nurses propped me on my side one night with pillows behind my back for support. When I got home I couldn't sleep on my side but after a few days I tried the side thing with a pillow wedged behind me for support - I was kinda on my side but the weight was going on my back more - kinda half n half if you can understand. This took the pressure off the back but didn't pull my tummy. My hubby also has a long body pillow and I used that between my legs and hugged for support as well. I basically have been sleeping on my back for 2 weeks with this side trick every so often this past week - it helps. Haven't needed the pillow behind me for a couple of days not but still can't do this on my left side I'm too wossy.... Maybe try and pillow under you knees when on you back or side too. Hope this helps. Carolyn

I had the exact same problem. I tried a combination of pillows under my stomach, but still hurt to roll over. Out of desperation, I tried something that turned out to be perfect! I have an elastic/spandex "unitard/girltle" for lack of a better name. It has hooks at the crotch like a bra and the elastic/spandex part comes up like a one piece bathing suit, but ends half way up the ribs and has straps you would put up over your shoulders. I've taken to wearing one of these nearly full time for support and "reshaping" as my body changes. It works great! I can roll over at night and even snuggle up to my husband and still feel protected and supported. My incisions are healing faster because of the support and lack of "wiggling" around. Overall, I would highly reccomend it. I can even walk around the house better with it on. I have less sagging and pulling as my stomach deflates. (Sorry to be so descriptive, but it is accurate, lol). Good luck. Denise
