you know its a shame that people sign up to do this and then dont follow through with their end. my secret pal that sends to me is wonderful, but the person that I send to has no contact with me I do understand that she is having some issues but it dont take a min. to post a thank you. It makes me feel so un appreciated. I thought this was to be fun and help make new friends, and bring a smile, or joy to others but its looking like more trouble than its worth. Hope you all have a wonderful day. huggsssssssssss cyndi m

Prayer! I'm scheduled tomorrow at 7:30 A.M. and that's the only thing that I can think of to do right now. I'll be thinking of you and I wish you a speedy recovery. This is the only way we can get to the losing side! Jen

It's here!!! This will be over before you know it. You will be home in your own bed in no time. Just remember when you get home, take it easy, move around when you can, sip, sip, sip fluids. You will do great! Denise

Hi Jay... If you go to the home page of this site, look to the right there is a box looks like an advertisment...there is a surgeon on the front of that then it says something like learn more about blood clots, surgery etc. That is a webcast...this was done by Synovis Surgical who makes the peri strips that are placed in the staple gun when they are fired in the stomach. Dr. Shikora one of the most well known laparoscopic surgeons was part of this webcast..you will see a by pass surgery done on that page. Please do watch it then let me know what you thought of it.. I am an events specialist who works on events with Dr. Monica Ganz, director of events for ObesityHelp. I also am very close friends with a rep of Synovis Surgical and happen to knw about the live webcast. Someone told me there was someone on the board asking about it. Unfortunately they do not have this in a good spot, no one seems to know it's there!! We need to change that. I am putting together a National conference in Lexington, Ky for the end of October. The laparoscopic specialist that I am working with (Dr. Derek Weiss and Dr. John Oldham) are going to tape a surgery for me to use at the event. If you would like to watch this with the doctor present to explain and answer any questions let me know. I attend surgery at least once a month with these docs and know they are awesome at their work and just all around great guys. This event will be a great time and alot of fun...why not take a trip to horse country and join us?? Brenda

Just that you are doing the right thing. I wish you well and that you have a fast recovery so you can come home and start living life again and be on the losers bench...Just try to stay positive and stay focused on the end results. I have surgery on Wensday..so maybe we can keep each other posted...Good luck

Kim, Trying not to flame you, and I guess this is really to all the pals who didn't come through as promised...... but just wondering? I just read your post and I want to ask you why you signed up for this "fun" program? Did you not know your finances when you started this? Did you not realize this was a full year committment? Are you not good for your word? This whole thing has never been about the gifts, because anything I want I can buy myself. It was a 10 dollar committment each month to make someone smile and brighten their day/month. Are you still getting your gifts from the person who has you? So many people who signed up for this did not follow through with what they said they would commit to for 12 months and here we are just starting month 4 and people haven't gotten one gift let alone 3. What a shame. If you couldn't "buy" your pal a gift you could have always sent her what your pal sent you so she would never know the difference. Instead of making someone happy, I am sure they are wondering what is wrong with them, that their pal could not follow through!!!!! Signing myself as "A true and trust worthy Pal"
