Enlarged Heart???? Anyone????

Hey y'all I was just wondering if anyone else has half of their heart that is enlarged and still got clearance for WLS. Now I am worried, I have had this problem for 3 or 4 years, and now, all of a sudden, its an issue. I have to see a cardiologist tomorrow b4 I can have the surgery on Monday, He has to clear me. So, If anyone else has this condition and could ease my nerves, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Cindee three days and counting

Sorry to hear what has happen...But look at it this way at least the doctors are making sure that you will survive the surgery. I am praying for clearance for you...You don't need to worry because everything will be okay. Keep GOD first and everything will fall in place for you....update us after you return from the doctor........K

Karen, When I was getting tested for my surgery they found out that I had cardiomegely that stands for a enlarged heart. I had heard that it is common for people that are over weight for the heart to sometime become enlarged. I ended up doing find, and at this time my dr has choosen not to do anything about it. Keep us posted I am sure that every thing will be fine.
