Home from surgery

hey all...i had my surgery on monday(4/17) and i came home yesterday (4/19) i have a lil pain around my one incision site...but otherwise it isnt tooo bad...pain meds are amazing lol...it just hurts the most after like gettin up and takin the first few steps...but otherwise its ok....i have a question tho....when i weight myself on sunday morning, i was 255lbs, and then after bowel prep on monday morning i was 252lbs but then after coming home from the hospital and they pumped me full of liquids and air and stuff...i was 266lbs...so im wondering is this normal and did any of you have that problem of weight gain? also im wondering what weight should i start at for counting down??? please let me know... thanks and good luck to everyone who is having upcoming surgeries you'll all do just fine... andrea

Yes, it is normal. You will lose all the fluid weight by your first appt with your doc. Can I suggest that you do not weigh yourself every day? It will drive you crazy.

yea...i wont weigh myself every day...i was thinkin i will start with my post op appt...weds the 26th and then go from there....like every week or something... thanks for the response!
