Well, Congrats on your success!! I know the clear stage is hard, i will be doing it in a week myself, but it is worth it. Keep in mind, that your doc knows best, and it is only a temporary thing, soon you will be on your way to a regular diet. Keep up the good work!! Cindee

Hiedi, Boy do I know how you feel! I am suppose to start full liquids tomorrow! But "cheated" and had some cream of chicken soup today. My GOD that was the BEST tasting thing in the world. Its just that it did not go straight out of my pouchie! I actually felt some thing in the pouch and it stayed for a while...... whew I thought I would never get here! Your doctor is more liberal than mine, I had clear liquids for 2 weeks than it looks like full liquids for 4 weeks than start the soft foods. I am dying for some cream of wheat.... send me some..... hehehehe! Just joking! Hugs, Tracey

Tracey gurll I would be crazy with 2 weeks of liquids . but we CAN do it.. we will get through this.... and we will be skinny gurls... or healthy gurls.. probably healthy gurls.. lol.. Malt o meal on Tuesday for me... I think the cream of chicken soup was ok.. watch your sodium in those things.. and make sure the protein makes it worth it.. We can get through this ONWARD...

Hang in there girl. Things will progress. And listen to your doc. I'm having surgery tomorrow and plan on being the perfect patient. I know it won't be easy but I'm not going to push things. Everyone is on different diets for different reasons. I think I may be lucky because it looks like if everything goes well the plan is for me to go on full fluids just a few days after surgery. But I will stay on that for two weeks then will go to normal foods. That will be scary since I see most people go to puree's I've heard so many people say that fluids is so hard - guess I will find out in a few days. I'm thinking the nothing to eat or drink after midnight tonight will be bad. Not the hunger part but the dry yucky mouth part. I'm going to hate that part of it until I can start to have ice chips maybe the day after surgery. I get dry mouth anyway and I hate it so this is what's freakin me out. We all have our own things. I've stocked my cupboard with broth, cream soups, jello, cream of wheat, puddings, etc. I think I'm on my way. Good luck!!! Carolyn
