The hardest part is over, right???
Hi all,
Well, I finally had my surgery on Monday 4/10. Everything went well. I was in the hospital until Thursday. I am about 2 hrs from home. Since I have to see the doctor again on Tuesday to have the drain removed, my mom and I decided to stay here in town (2 hrs away) in a hotel and wait till after seeing the doc to heard home.
While I was in the hospital and for the day I was released, I had been feeling nausous, so Sat I called and was able to have the doctor call in a prescription, and since then I've been feeling much better.
Since we hadn't planned on being away from home this long, we weren't exactly prepared food wise. My mom picked up a vanilla protien shake for me and it is gross (vanilla ProComplex)!!! So, that is really the only thing I'm not doing so well on at the moment that I should be. I know that in two days I will be home and have 2 other flavors that I will be able to go full force on.
I'm pretty positive about most of what I've gone through. I think I expected more pain (as I've heard others have said before). I haven't had to take much pain medication since Friday morning. Unfortunatly the worst part of the pain was that I started my period (sorry if TMI) , and I was having back pain from that. Otherwise, things are going well. This drain tub is extremely annoying though, but I'm counting down the days until it's removed!
I'm sure I will have some questions as I go along, but if anyone has any ideas or advise for me, I'd love to hear it.
Thanks for everything.

How spooky is this?
My surgery was on Monday and mine started the day after I got home. I don't even have regular periods. I think I saw somewhere that it is very common to start because the body goes through so much trauma.
Anyway, we made it!!!!!! I'm doing better now, really rough at first. The more I move and sip, the better I feel.
Congrats, losers
