Which would u choose?
Wednesday is my pre ops blood draws, meetings with staff about insurance "stuff", intake, EKG, nursing stuff and my 2nd appointment with my surgeon.
My supervisor and the rest of the team of great ladies that work under her supervision are going out to lunch as a treat for a job well done.
I get to be NPO after midnight for the pre ops tommorow.
They are going to P F Changs! What a trade off.
Actually, I am very happy for them, but I have the better part of the trade for me, and with everyone's continuing support and if it is God's will in another week I will be on my way to the losers bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would choose pre ops, but it is too bad that they could not have scheduled the lunch for another day, so you could have been included. But that happens sometimes, if you have a good sup, she will find another way to show her appreciation.
Are you on a liquid diet? I started mine Tuesday, but I am not doing very well at staying liquid yet. I think being on it 2 weeks, then getting sick and having surgery postponed has made it harder this time. I guess I have lsot some of my enthusiasm for it. Less than a week for me too!!!!!
Best of Luck to Ya! Heidi L-S
A lady friend went with me to the hospital for the appointments.
The pre ops went sooooooooooooooo well and only took a bit over half the time scheduled. I didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes total! There were a total of 5 stops, 3 pre admit screenings and 2 tests. The "vampire" who did the blood draw was ok, he only needed one stick. The EKG done was a baseline and only took a few minutes, it took as long to place and remove the pads. A WOW moment for sure to get in and out so quickly!
The surgeon's appointment was about a 20 minute drive from the hospital because of traffic but we were still half an hour early due to the speed of getting all done in such unheard of good time at the hospital. And the nurse was calling my name before I finished writing the check for my co-pay! We were out of the surgeon's office by the 3:30 appointment time!
I start clear liquids today. My surgery is a go, down a total of 35 lbs since August and that is a good beginning (lost 3lb since the initial appt with Dr. Brunson on 2/27). Have to be at the hospital at 5:30 Tuesday morning.........It really is going to happen. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH HAAAA!!!
I'm sorting through all of the emotions but the best is that God gave me such smooth sailing, it has to be great. Thank you all for continued good wishes, support and prayer. May each of you be BLESSED ten fold for your generous spirits!
