Welcome back You are officially a loser I am still pre-op but I throw up bile on occasion when I have a gallbladder attack. Do you have gallstones that you know of? Also, I was told that if there is nothing in your stomach to come out as then the empty stomach can lead to the bile. Ifs its only bile, don't worry, talk to you doctor, it happens to me all the time even though I am pre-op. Goodluck and keep us posted throughout your journey.

Welcome back!! I'm glad all went well with your surgery. You know, I've heard of people doing this and read that it can be a few different things..... when doing the leak test before you leave the hospital, whatever it is you drink may be trying to come up. I've also heard of people throwing up nasty black and green bile because the bile was emptying directly into their stomach since their gallbladder was removed. So I'd say if you've talked to your doctor about it, he'd tell ya if it was something to be concerned about. But if I threw up green or black stuff not knowing ahead of time that it's possible, I'd FLIP OUT for sure! You take care of yourself, Michele!

Glad to have you back and that everything went good. I'm still pre-op so no personal experience on the bile thing but I do know that people have told me that when they throw up after surgery it's not like before it's kind of like a slime. And given that you are on only fluids this would really make sense that it would be slime. Just keep in touch with your doc and hopefully once you get to more normal food things will have settled down.
