TWO MORE DAYS!!!!

Hi all! My surgery is in two days, Monday April 10th!!! I have the usual feelings, but for the most part I'm just going through the motions to prepare for the big day. I will be traveling about 2 hrs to the hospital the day before. I think I'm prepared for the most part. I've learned from people on here that taking less is more. I'm sure I will be pretty nervous the night before and for sure the morning of, but I'll save the nerves till then. The surgeon requested that I lose 10 to 15 lbs before the surgery, and I've lost 21 lbs!!! I'm already on a roll. There had been some tension along the way from those that didn't agree with my decision, but for the most part I have alot of great friends and family support. I even lost my job about 2 weeks ago. But all in all, its been for the best. It was a very unhealthy place for me. So, now my whole life is going to start over on a much better path. After seeing how I feel once I get home, I will do my best to post my results. Blainey

Hi Blainey Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I know what you mean about those who don't agree with your decision for surgery. But they don't walk in our shoes and at least you do have the support from others. I'm sorry you lost your job but ALL things happen for a reason and you've got the right attitude since it was not a healthy place for you to be, a fresh start will be good for you. I wish you all the best with your surgery and recovery. on losing 21 pounds already!

Blainey - I just want to add my support and congratulations to you. It is true that less is more when you pack for the hospital. I packed really light and didn't need a thing that either I or the hospital didn't have. Best wishes to you! Bonnie

I can't say that I'm all packed and ready to go. I ready for my surgery tomorrow morning, but I still have a lot to do. One thing is to get this phososoda down. The other is to clean the bed so my father can sleep. Jeanne
