My thanks to you all!
I wanted to let you all know that my ex-husband has been upgraded to STABLE condition. The bleeding has stopped and the swelling in his brain has gone down. He's awake and is aware of everyone and everything around him. He really is doing amazingly well. There are no signs of brain damage whatsover. I'm hopeful that he'll make it through this with only scars, and perhaps a (helmet) lesson learned.
As he lay unconscious on the side of the road waiting for a car to pass, he certainly must have been 
surrounded with a light bright enough to be seen on a lonely stretch of highway even in the darkest of hours, on the foggiest of mornings. For that, for him, and for my son, I am thankful.
And I want to thank you ALL for your thoughts, prayers and emails. Bless you all for that. Tonight his wife and family, my son, and myself will sleep better.
