EGD/Colonoscopy!

Hello, I am scheduled for both of these tomorrow. They are giving me anesthesia because of my size. Has anyone had either one? What can I expect? Can't wait to do the bowel prep tonight... Heidi

I had the egd and it was no problem, your done before you know it. I did not have to have a colonoscopy so I can't say anything about that one. I wish you the best!!!!

Hi Heidi, Don't fret there is nothing to the EGD, now the colonoscopy is a different story, my husband has to have it done every year, has been now for over 20 yrs, I said they should have put a light switch on him, as they go up in you with a tiny light and go through your colon to make sure that it is clear and no obstructions, Since you will be out of it, you'll be fine, just takes longer than the EGD. Just think of it as you'll be a lightingbug haha... Take Care, best of luck!! Perry W.
