Hello From the January '06 Board
Congratulations and best of luck to all of you as you begin your journey. I know that it's been a long wait and for many of you the nerves are getting to you.
Just keep in mind why you have chosen this path and the prize and the end of the journey a healthier, thinner YOU!
Please feel free to jump on over to the January board if you have questions or concerns. We've just gone through what you're about to. We've got a great group there who won't flame you and will give you the support and answer to the questions that you need.
Sending positive vibes your way I wish you all an uneventful surgery and a smooth and easy recovery.
Regards and many hugs,
Ronna
Hi Brenda
Too funny The clean out? You mean the bowel prep? Your doctor's office should have given you instructions.
Mine called it a "cleansing day". Ya right! While it sounded like some kind of spa retreat it wasn't. I had to take Fleet's Phaspasoda twice, once at 2pm and again at 7 pm. A hint if you mix it with sugar free sprite it goes down OK
Besides that plan on spending the remainder of the day in the bathroom. Have a few magazines or a good book handy cause that's all you'll be able to do.
Good luck and many hugs,
Ronna
HI I'm another Jan 2006 poster. I didn't have to do any kind of "clean out" or bowel prep prior to surgery!!!!! I was very thankful that I got to enjoy my last meal out with my family at Outback the night before surgery! Check with your surgeons office -- they should give you the proper instruction.
Best of luck to you!!!
