Need An Angel?
Hello April Baby's,
Your time for a new life is fast approaching and I want to wish all of you well on your journey's. Get ready for a remarkable ride!
A lady posted on the April 2005 board that some of you were looking for an angel. Well, I am here to volunteer if someone needs an angel. It might be long distance but, I can still call and check in on you. If you would like an angel just shoot me an email.
I had surgery April 11, 2005 and reached my surgeon's goal in 9 month's. I am not at my personal goal yet, I'm 5 lbs away.
Best of luck to each and everyone of you.
Gina
Gina,
You look AMAZING!!!!!!
Way to go on your success!!!!
I too live in Houston (Cypress really) and my date is April 12th! However, I am having Lap-Band, but if that doesn't matter in the Angel department I would love to have your wisdom guide me. But if you think I need someone who has been through my particular surgery then that sounds good too! Reguardless you still look fantastic and that is inspiration alone!!!!
Thanks for the offer! Let me know.
-Olivia
Olivia,
Thank you for your kind words. Your surgery date is a day after my one year. Good date!
I don't think you are too far from me. I live in The Woodlands/Spring area. So, that would be easy.
I don't think it really matters Lap-Band or not. Although, I don't know that much about the Lap-Band I could still check in on you and be there for you. So, if you want me to be your angel, I would too!
I'm sending you an email through the site as well.
Good Luck,
Gina
Hello, my name is Michelle and I am going to have WLS tentatively on April 28th. I have recently discovered this web site and I love it. Iknow that we don't know each other, but let me tell you.....I just LOVE your WLS journal...I don't have the internet at home, I can onlyl visit this web page, from work. On my lunch break, I read your entire journal. You inspire me and I just wanted to thank you for sharing yourself with people like me. I tell you, it really helps. I am an LPN and have been one since 1994, I am 31 years old and I have a 10 year old, her birthday is today. I am really scared, though. I have already had my gallbladder out, in 1999. I lost over 100 lbs, only to gain back 120 lbs. My poor heart. I admire you and your strenghth. Again, thank you for sharing.
Michelle
Michelle,
Congrats on making a decision to change your life. It truly is a remarkable journey. Don't get me wrong there are high's and low's throughout this journey but, overall it is great. People think just because you lose weight your life is picture perfect. Well, there are things that come out sometimes that we let our weight hide behind. It is an emotional journey and by far is not the easy way out as some say.
Thank you for taking the time out to read my profile. It really means alot to me that I can inspire people. People still inspire me and have inspired me along the way. We are all in this weight loss battle together and I believe that as long as you have the right support system and you motivate yourself you will do well. Your goals are within reach.
Tell your son Happy Birthday.
I had my gallbladder out after WLS and I can tell you this, gallbladder was much easier. Some people told me gallbladder would be worse. However, I had never had major surgery other then my tonsils out at 5 years old. I was up and about by the end of the first week. I wish you well on your journey. If you need anything please feel free to email me.
Failure is not an option!
