If I had a uterous, I'd think I was getting ready to give birth. I'm finding myself doing what I did before each of my babies were born. And I'm really not doing these things intentionally.. I just kind of go from one thing to another without realizing it. And I mean not just cleaning... I've cleaned out closets, file cabinet, kitchen cabinets and drawers, fridge and freezer. I started wondering if, subconciously, I was doing these things in case I didn't make it back home whoever had to come here and pack up my apartment would have an easier time. It's kinda weird . Wish I had had this kind of energy all along .

I'm going to ask another silly question. Does anyone know what the red dots by some members are for on the "show by month" surgery dates? Just curious. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/showbymonth.php?Y=2006&M=04 There are SO many surgeries in April! And it's weird that some days there are a lot scheduled and other days very few. I read on another site that Friday the 13th is a day many surgeons schedule their own surgeries because most people don't want to be in the o.r. on Friday the 13th and it's a slow day for them..lol.

I found myself cleaning.. and cleaning.. and I have never been pregnant.. I don't know why but I am doin it... Red dots are angels.. An angel is a buddy who who looks after someone else during the period of their surgery. Maintaining contact and offering support during this period is important. Angels play a vital role of relaying information back and forth between the person and their friends on the internet. Are there specific duties of an angel? The role is an informal one, but two tasks are: 1. Post updates to the person's surgery status page 2. If the person approves, print their card from the web site and fax it to them while they are in the hospital. The best way to do this is often to fax it to their surgeon's office for the surgeon to deliver to them. Part of the reason for assigning angels is so that surgeon's offices don't receive multiple copies of the same messages to relay. Who decides who angels are? Only you can decide who your angel will be. How can I become an Angel? Look at the list of people on the surgery dates page. Those people who don't have a red dot by their name don't have an angel. You can ask such people if they would like an angel. If they are interested, then have them go into their profile and list you as their angel. How can I get an Angel? Do the above step the other way around. As soon as you find someone interested in being your angel, list them on your profile. Hope this helps!!! Good luck hun.. and best wishes. Romy

LOL Hi Lisa I agree about the nesting thing, I actually think that this whole process has been like a pregnancy...Conception-deciding yes I wanted it, getting a dr to sign and waiting for ohip for approval-was like taking the test and waiting to hear if I was pregnant - now I am at that waiting stage-I would probably be nesting, but I have an awesome husband who I know will take care of it, lol. But NO NEGATIVE thoughts!! I think that you are doing it so you can take it easy after your surgery and not have to think about anything but you after!! Thoughts and prayers go with you on your sugery date!! Take care Dawnya

Its not strange to nest. Im doing it in a different kind of way. I have been organizing all of our financial affairs so that if something does happen my husband wont be totally lost. I drew up a will last week and of course the advance directive that the hospital has you fill out. I havent started yet, but I will write letters to my husband, daughters, and mother. Its kind of strange I know. But I did the same thing before I went in for my C-section with our 2 year old. Jennifer

Not strange at all to me....I'm doing the same thing. Including a couple to a few friends and one to post on my website. I've also got the will and advance directives sitting here waiting to be notarized. I've got a "here's what to do" list for my fiance covering everything from "make sure you empty teh lint trap on the dryer" to "the electric bill is due on the 7th, this is the address to send it to" to "Eric only gets 3 sippies of milk a day, teh rest should be water." To me it's like if I'm prepared for the worst it won't happen....because bad things only happen when you aren't ready for them.
