9 year old and I talked.

I just wanted to let everyone that my 9 year old daughter and I talked and she is acting much better. She had some conserns of surgery that she just wasnt telling me about. Today she told me that she was glad we had the talk and that she was acctually starting to get excited for surgery. She said that everything was going to change... She said that she didnt think she would have to do as much house work once I feel better. She said a whole lot of stuff, but you get my drift. Thanks to all, Jennifer

Jennifer, I talked with my 6 year old about it too! She is very excited because she says now I can take her to the park and walk the dog with her! It's funny the ways kids think. Your daughter will be very proud of you...and you are setting a good example for her..showing her that you care about your body and your health. You are doing something positive for you and that will be good for her too! I wish you all the best with your surgery, mine is April 6th. sidney

jennifer- I know what you are going thru I am scheduled for surgery on 4/17 and have two daughters 8 and 10. They too have been up and down with the whole surgery idea, but after talking to them and showing them the pictures of before and after on this website of the hundreds of people who have successfully gone thru the surgery and their wonderful words of wisdom they are sooo much more comfortable with the thought and are now actually getting excited! Now all they keep talking about is the "girls shopping day out!". Oh boy, I am in trouble. haha
