I've got a surgery date!

Hi, I actually started my process back in November. We had to go through months of counseling and visiting with nutritionists, etc. But finally, I made it to the part where we submit EVERYTHING to the insurance company and I have received my approval and my surgery date is April 6, 2006! . It took an extra 2 weeks for the approval because my insurance company required a nutritional eval. But after they received the eval, I got my approval 2 days later!

Sherry we will be twins on that day. I too am having my surgery on April 6th in New Jersey..I am travelling there from Canada. I send you all my best thoughts and wishes. I will be thinking of you on "the" day. Take care. sidney

Thank you everyone for your warm thoughts. I will find out if my date changes tomorrow. Normally my surgeon performs his bypasses on Mondays or tuesdays, that way we don't have to deal with the weekend staffing of nurses and the 6th is a Thursday. I know his nurse called me on Friday right after she gave me my date, probably realizing that I was getting the bypass and not the lapband (which is what he normally performs). So i will let you guys know more tomorrow. Thanks! Excited and Scared and having the HARDEST time losing weight prior to surgery. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! Thanks!
