April 6 - My RE-birth Date!

Hi All, Sign me up for the April Re-Birthday Club! I will be going to Brazil and having surgery with Dr. Marchesini. My story is on my profile... like most of you here, my story has been a long and sometimes twisting one. Thankfully, it has lead me to where I am today -- with a surgery date that is a month away! Nice to meet you all. I hope that we can continue to keep in touch so that none of us feel alone in this journey. I know that seeing others going through the same challenges and victories will make it easier. Lola

Thanks for the welcome Lisa! You are one day after me... wow. It's coming up quickly -- when I first had my date it was 2 1/2 months. Time has flown by! Lola

Hi Lola ! Nice to meet you, too! Congratulations on your surgery date! I'm 2 days before you - April 4th - but I'm not leaving the country. Hope you have a wonderful trip in addition to an uneventful surgery. Best wishes! Bonnie

Thanks Bonnie! It's definately been a challenge... getting ready for surgery, leaving the country (renewing passports & visas), getting the house ready for the MIL... and trying to make sure that I'm as healthy as I can be... yep, it's a challenge! DH is going to meet me in Brazil the day of surgery and hopefully I will heal quickly and we will be able to enjoy some time together. I have to stay in Brazil 14 days after surgery -- only 4 of those in the hospital. Best of luck to you too! Lola
