Fatigue

I struggle with alot of fatigue. I never feel like I have energy. Would upping my protein help? My labs are all good. I am pretty close to goal weight wise. I eat a lot of small meals and hardly ever eat a big sit down meal as dense proteins like meat and eggs are not something my stomach can tolerate. Any ideas on the fatigue. Thanks, Kim

How many grams of protien are you getting each day? That might be the reason, but it could be something else/ You said your labs were ok, what exactly have you had checked and what were the results? I know my labs were ok per surgeons office but when I looked at the results over the past two years I saw that my ferritan levels have been steadily dropping, while still "normal" they had gotten to the low end of normal, I have been tired myself so I have changed the form of iron I am taking and will get rechecked, also my thyroid level was off, had elevated FSH, which means I am not getting enough thyroid homones, found out I need to take it on an empty stomach and then will have levels checked again. Low thyroid can cause fatique too. Hope you get things figured out. Sher

Hello Kim,
I still have a problem with chicken and eggs.  Gag!  I agree with Sher thast protein helps.  Can you do cottage cheese?  I  still mix mine with SF jam just a T helps mixed with 1/2 C of cottage cheese.  Remember not to drink after eating as it washes it through.  Let the protein work.  I still love salads with shrimp on top.  Great protein and doesn't gag me like chicken.

Hope you feel better soon.  You all look great!

It is His love and grace that saved and sustains me.
In Christ's love,
Joan M
