2 years out
Hi everyone---Gosh, in a week we will all be in our 24th month. Isn't it hard to believe it has been that long? Wow what changes have occurred in our lives--most of us are so much happier and of course, healthier.
Is it time for an update??? How is everyone doing??
Starting weight---321
Current weight---152
Goal weight----150
Ultimately hope to be 147.5 which would be a normal BMI for me.
I have an extended TT and Blepharoplasty of all 4 eyelids scheduled for April 8th. I am awaiting approval of my leave of absence from work before it is a definite go, but it should be approved. Maybe next year I will have a breast reduction and lift and some lipo on the back but we will see. Julia
Julia,
WAY TO GO!!! You have done so great the past couple of years! Change is an understatement for sure. I feel like I was literally born all over again! I love everything that has changed for me. The way that I live now, it is SO much different than how I was before!
I will be 2 yrs out on the 19th.
Starting weight:250
Day of surgery:235
Current weight: 110
I have gone from a size 22/24 to a 0. I can actually wear a kids 12, but being 30 shopping in the kids section leaves something to be desired...lol. I have had a circumfrential tummy tuck (12/06 with a 8 lb skin loss) and a breast augmentation (02/08).
I just want to say Thank you to all of you that have been so wonderful over the last 2 years.....even to just log in and read your stories was inspiration to keep moving forward.
Take care everyone!!!
Jen
Jen, you look great. I can imagine that shopping in the kids department would be difficult. I don't have that problem. I am 5' 4.5" and started out at a size 34 top and a little smaller pants. Now wear a 14 dress, large top and a 12 pant. I hope the pant size will drop with the tummy tuck, maybe a couple of sizes, I think. I guess if I had decided to have a breast lift and reduction with the tummy tuck, I would lose more on top but at my age (59.5) my eyes are more visable and younger girls would love to have my big boobs! They just don't know that they have to be rolled up and put in the bra to look that way!!
Anyway I am happy and also am so glad to be a part of this group. I have to say it was the most helpful group to be a part of as we were all pretty much at the same point in our journey and that helped a lot.
Good luck to everyone and come on and update us on your successes and your challenges/concerns---we can continue to help each other at this stage of the game too. Julia
Hi Everyone
My highest weight was 301, the day of surgery I weighed 291 and today........drum roll please........... I weigh 118. I was wearing 3x and 24/26 sizes before. I now wear a size small or medium top, depending on the style and in jeans I am wearing a size 4 but if they have any % of spandex, I am wearing a size 3. WOOO HOOO. Another thing worth mentioning I guess is my bra size. I was never really big considering my weight but before surgery I was a size 48C. Today I am a size 34 A. I find the sports bras more comfy cuz the a cup on regular bras are to big. LOL. I did my measurements a couple of days ago....
Chest 34
waist 25
Hips 34 What a difference.
Thank you all for being here, I will be 2 years out next week on the 5th
Carol
Hi everyone, we have all done a great job. My 2 year mark is April 5th.
starting weight--- 290- day of surgery 269
current weight 155
goal 145
I should receive letter of authorization for panniculectomy any day now. Then I will be getting my surgery date for abdominoplasty, hernia repair and breast lift.
I am so excited! Hopefully in the near future I will be able to afford to get my arms done so I can finally wear short sleeves. Had some unexpected home expenses that are taking up a fair amount of my surgery money. At least with the panni part and hernia costs being covered my total costs will be less than they would of been.
Wishing you all the best,
Sher
My two year is all the way at the end of April.
My starting weight - 326
Current weight - 131
Goal weight - 140
I wear a 2/4 size pants and small shirt.
I had a LBL and brachioplasty in Jan. and hope to have my inner thighs done next Jan. Then I'll wait a few years for my boob lift.
My plastic surgeon is testing out a laser machine that he wants to purchase for his office and asked if I would be interested in being his test for it. So I had some laser treatment on my face yesterday. We'll see how it turns out.
I can't believe that it is almost 2 years. My life is so different and I feel so alive these days.
My sister just started her six months before her WLS so I am excited for her.
Take care,
Sue
