Just wanted to let you all know that I am feeling ok after my BA on mon......it went well. I want to thank you all for thinking of me, and keeping me in your prayers! I was really pleased with how it went. The surgeon came in and talked to me before I went under the drugs....he told me that he took my file home with him over the weekend, and thought that I might have to go a little bigger than we had discussed to get rid of all the wrinkles and sag....but he left it up to me, he ordered extra implants from the manufacturer just in case. So i told him that I trusted his judgement, I just wanted my extra skin filled out, and I didnt want to look like a freak! lol.... So instead of the 375cc silicone, I ended up with 425cc round smooth high profile implants....he said they are going to look amazing after I heal! so i am excited!!!! Was a little upset yesterday, bc of how they looked....so high up and weird....but they came down some today and are looking better....so i think he is right! But most of all I just wanted to let you all know how much your support has meant to me throught my journey that past couple of years! Without this board, and the friendships made here, this would have been SO much harder! I started crying when they showed me my breasts in recovery.....bc this was the last thing i needed to do.....i was overwhelmed with happiness! Thanks again and take care all of you!! Jen

Hi Jen, it is good to hear everything went well. I am sure when things are all healed and settled into place you will be even happier. Just a question for you, did you have to have a breast lift with this augmentation or did you have one before this surgery? I know you are a lot younger than me, but because of my severely drooping and empty breasts I was told I would have to have a lift first and after that healed I could persue augmentation if I wanted or needed it. Congratulations on completing your journey to a new body and a new healthier life. Sher

Sher, Thanks for all the good thoughts! No, i didnt have to have a lift.....i just lost everything when my weight came off, instead of the "tube sock" i got the "fried egg". so all they had to do was fill out the skin. i had the augmentation under the muscle, with 425cc round, high profile, smooth implants. silicone gel. from what i have heard, they can do the implant at the same time as the lift.... from a few ppl that have had it done that i know.....i dont know. everyone is different. Thanks again! take care~ jen

Jen how wonderful for you!!! Wow, I can only imagine how you must feel and look. I am using shoulder pads in my bra to help cover what is missing. So sad.... Praying for you to heal quickly and the swelling to go down. I agree about the this group here being so important to us and may we never forget that.
