Eating....
Hi all!
Just wanted to do a quick survey of how much you all are eating at one time. I am eating about 8oz at each "meal" and I have a couple of good for me snacks throughout the day. A meal would be some form of protien(meat or fish) and a couple of bites of veggies and MAYBE a bite of a starch.
Just curious where everyone else is at. I'm not worried about weight, I have been at "goal" for over a year and have had my tummy tuck. I maintain the same weight within 5 lbs, I just want to see if I should actually be eating more.

I dnt measure my food any more but I know I should get back on track I know I can put some food away it scares me sometimes ,this month has been hard also I am living with family my house is almost done being built so I know I am eating things I should not be so hope & pray when things get settled & in my new house I will be on track again ,I am to at goal but would like to lose at least 10 more for a safety net ,good luck
I am really afraid, because I can eat so much more than I used to be able to eat. It terrifies me. I don't want to go back. I am within 3-5 pounds of where I am happy. So, it is not too bad. I know I drink too much milk, juice and not enough water. So, I think drinking higher calorie foods is my weakness. As far as eating is concerned, I can eat a bowl of oatmeal,or a piece of french toast, or a bowl of soup,or a yogurt, each individually. Is that too much for a meal? KimM
It seems I can eat almost like I could before. Todays intake: Hot ****o w/protein powder for lunch I ate a whole wrap from subway, supper I had a desk of cards chuck of meat, 1/2 insides of baked potato and about 1/4 cup of peas then I ate 2 s/f ice cream bars. Snacked on pringles throughout the day.
Yesterday I ate a protein bar for breakfast, a steamer for morning snack and then the toppings off a 3 pieces of pizza during the packer game, then 2 s/f ice cream bars.
The scale is still reading within the same 5-7 pounds up or down on any given day but can it really stay that way eating that much. I sure don't feel full anymore!
Unfortunately from what I hear, Im not eating enough. I still can only eat 1/2 sandwich. I just had a upper gi test to see why Im unable to eat very much as they are concerned about my weight being to low now. I am 5 ft 6 in tall and weigh 123. My doc, family doc wants me to get back up to 140 so she ordered the barium test. Well the tech that issued the test said they see nothing wrong with me as far as a stricture or anything but they did say my pouch is extremely small. Guess I will have to wait and see what the doc says. I am still only eating around a thousand calories a day and thats on a good day. Still losing weight.
This is what i was concerned about.......i can only eat 1/4-1/4 a wrap at a time and for dinner i take in about the same 1/4 - 1/2 a chicken breast (small size) or beef/fish and maybe a bite or two of veggies, and then im done. im not big on breakfast, but i try to get in some form of protien ....... peanut butter on a rice cake, protein shake ( i make them.... sf fruit combo and spenda, and a scoop of unflavored protien powder and 1/4 c milk)
but snacks for me are slways something protien or a veggie. maybe a 1/4 of a cup. i am 5'2" and weigh 110. i am a size 0 to a kids 12. i am trying to build up muscles now with intense weight training....but then i have to up calories...and that is HARD for me. im just not hungry.

WOW a size 0, Im impressed. . I am wearing 3s and 4s and size small tops. The main reason the docs are so concerned about my continued weight loss is becuz they average the excess skin that I have on my upperarms,butt and legs to be at least 20, possibly 30 lbs therefore IF I had it removed, I would be below 100 lbs. I personally think they worry to much. I eat when Im hungry, I try and eat only healthy things although I do eat chips occasionally and feel great physically most of the time. Tomorrow or thurs at the latest I will find out what they have to say about the tests I had done today, Im pretty sure its just that I was/am so careful that I just didnt stretch my pouch very much therefore I can only eat a little bit at a time. My SIL had this same problem, same surgeon as me too, she is 5 ft 7 and got down to 112 lbs and felt louzy most of the time. Last Feb she insisted they open/stretch her pouch or stoma (im unsure which) well needless to say.......she is back over 250 now and keeps gaining. What ya gonna do?
I had to start writing what I eat down. The Dr. wanted to know what my quantities are when I eat. My quantities are still pretty low. Ok, I don't know if this is going to be too much information, but in the last four days I have had:
2-22-08
9am - 1 chicken thigh
11am - 1 cup Life cereal
6pm - 1/2 cup grapes
7pm - 2 oz fish and 10 pieces of asparagus
11:30 pm - 1 slice homemade bread
2-23-08
6:40 am - 10 grapes
11:00am - 6 grapes
11:30am - 1 egg sprinkled with cheese and 1 slice homemade bread
1:30pm - 4 bites of homemade bread and 1 orange
4:00pm - 4 homemade crackers
6:30pm - 1/4 head cauliflower with cheese
2-24-08
12:30pm - 6 homemade crackers with turkey and 1/2 cup orange Julius
1:00pm - I threw up.
6:30pm - 1/4 head cauliflower with cheese
10:00pm - 1/2 cheese sandwich
11:30pm - Apple cider
2-25-08
9:30am - 1 oz smoked salmon and 1 orange
1:00pm - 1/2 kids cheeseburger, 1/8 cup salad, and one fry
6:00pm - small fry
We in town all day on the 25th so there is more junk food on that day. LOL
