Morning Everyone!
Hi all! I got the sweetest message from Joan the other day and wanted to pop in and say hello to you all. I have not been on OH much these days. My priorities have changed quite a bit from weight loss, but I still remember you guys and wonder how you're all doing.
I'm doing well. I got down to 169 from a pre-op weight of 255. Then, I GOT PREGNANT! I am having my first baby on or around February 9th, 2008. It's a Boy and we're keeping the name a secret so that DH will be able to come out of the delivery room and say, "It's a ____!" The dads need to have their moment, you know. So far, I have gained about 12 pounds in 20 weeks, which they tell me is good. My diabetes is getting a bit rowdy, so I am having to crack down on the carbs a lot more. Evidently a baby can mess with your insulin levels. Figures, right? Its not bad enough that I get kicked from the inside all day, but he's got to mess with my body chemistry too! Sheesh.
But I'm still working for NASA, things are a bit slow, but going well. I just got a raise. DH might be getting stationed somewhere new next year right after the baby is born, so I'll have to roll with the punches, but at least I will get a lot of time with the baby. We are going on a little weekend getaway cruise to Ensenada on Oct. 5, and I'm looking forward to relaxing and not cooking or cleaning!
Hope to hear from you all. Sorry for the long-winded story, haha!
Thanks for checking in...what a joy to hear the wonderful news. Children are a heritage from the Lord as the Scriptures say...a reward! Isn't that awesome to think.
Hope many willl chime in and say hello and congrats to you..enjoy Ensanada..yum my memories of there are lobsters and tortillas!
Love ya Girl...Joan M
Wow, congrats!!!! That is so awesome!!! You'll have to come back and post like you did for your sister and her baby!!
I am so happy for you.
I think all of our priorities have changed since we are actually living the lives we were meant to and not sitting on the sidelines any more.
What wonderful news and I am so happy that you shared it with us.
Take care of yourself and baby boy (name to be announced later),
Sue
How wonderful! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you!
I'm weird and I LOVED maternity clothes. You're going to look so cute in all the cute things they have now! Just think of how active you're going to be able to be with your little one!
I will keep you in my prayers for a wonderful pregnancy and easy delivery of your little kicker!
Lizzie

I totally understand about not being online as much anymore. We have all been through so much in the last 18 months, what a awesome reward for you!
You will be in my thoughts and prayers, I hope the everything stays under control for you. Cherish those kicking moments because they will be gone soon enough, get lots of sleep now.
What great news, keep us up to date.
