I have been a little MIA these days, life is good-but busy. I have been trying way more foods these days then I should be trying cause so far I am getting away with them. No weight gain but I can't imagine it staying down with all the carbs I am inhailing! I am just curious as to if anyone is drinking pop and if so how much and how often. I have drank it twice in the last 15 months but I shook all the fizz out of it, it tasted so good I want more. Has anyone had any trouble with it or does anyone drink it right out of the bottle? Thanks much and I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Take care, Jenni

I usually have one a day. My doc is OK with it as long as I'm OK with it. Except for the occasional Diet MT Dew, I usually drink caffeine free diet pepsi, and dr. pepper. I take little sips or just pour it in a glass. I don't think it makes me crave sweets or feel hungry. Everyone is different and some swear pop is a no no. I guess it's up to you and your DR. Best of luck to you.

Hey Jenni- My surgeon said diet soda was ok once in a while. I use it as a sweet treat but don't want to "spend" the calories. I LOVE diet Sunkist and diet A&W root beer. But I don't drink it to get my quota of fluids.

For a while I was a diet soda maniac. But found as I paid attention, the darker colored soda's made my stomach ache. So, now I only drink soda's that aren't brown. I don't know if this helps or not. Jennifer

We are not allowed to drink pop according to my surgeon. The carbination stretches your pouch!!! I have not touched a pop in almost 2 years! Can't believe you guys are drinking it!

Jenni, my surgeon was fearful it could stretch my pouch so I have only taken a sip of it twice. Though, honestly some days I just crave a coke or a 7-up when I am ill. Comfort drinks I guess. If it doesn't hurt your tummy and you only do diet drinks without fizz, how can it hurt? It is extra liquids. By the way, that is a new pic of you isn't it? You look so great. Has it snowed up there yet in the UP?. I figure late August you probably already have to use your second story door by now! tee hee - just kidding. Take care sweetie, Kim M.
