Two personal goals met this week!

Good morning! I achieved one of my goals this week by finding out that I weigh less than my older son who is 150. Before I started my WLS, I was bigger than all 3 men in my life. I lost past my younger son first, then hubby and finally my older son. That was one of my personal goals. This morning I weighed (since I go to my surgeon's support group tonight) and I weigh 143.8 which is just below my personal goal of 145. Not only that, but I have a normal BMI of 24.7. I think the last time my BMI was normal was when I was in-utero. So now I am in maintenance mode and will be working on keeping my weight off for the rest of my life (but doing it one day at a time.) Take care, Sue

That's awesome Susan, keep up the good work. Doing it one day at a time I think is a great way to be successful. Best of luck.

Susan, congrats on reaching your goals. I now weigh less than my husband and two sons also. It's great. I can also keep up with them better now too, well not my 6 ft 4inch son with long legs!! My main goal is to eventually reach a normal BMI as you have. That would be great. Keep up the good work and good luck in maintaining it all. Keep in touch. Julia

Wowow...so happy for you Sue! You have done so well. I missed reading here since we haven't had internet but I get it at home Friday so you will be seeing more of me. Or less of me if I lose more HAHHA.

Hi Joan, I'm happy to see that you are settled in now. How is everything going? Are your grandchildren excited to be close to you now? You've done fabulously, too, and to think we had it done the same day and look how quickly time has passed and how well we've done. It's a blessing! Take care, Sue

I haven't moved yet....so sad....we are still in SC and the grandchildren are still waiting. We know the house will sell at the right time we are just trying to be patient. I meant we finally got internet again in our home here in SC. I wil be able to comminicate more often now with my April Buddies. Love you all...Joan M

Thank you, Sher! It feels great, but now I am just beginning my next phase of my journey - retraining my brain. I've always lost weight in my past, but could never keep it off. So my journey now involves learning how to change my thinking and patterns so I can continue to maintain the loss. Good luck to you with your goal. You're doing wonderfully! Take care, Sue
