Judyanne, on the Califoria board, reminded me, today is my one year anniversary of my Lap RNY so I am tooting my own horn. I lurk more than I post but you have all helped to keep me on track and your support has been a blessing and I thank you all. This is a wonderful tool and each of you have given encouragement in using it wisely. My highest weight was 319, 5' 6" and my BMI was 51.4 and a BMI of 51.4 super morbidly obese. Today my weight is 175, I have gained 1 inch back in height, my BMI is 27.4 so I am overweight. Oh, and lost a shoe size. My surgeon said I have exceeded his expectations and all of my blood work was great so he wants me to make an appointment in a year for follow up. I have gone from a tight size 28 jeans to being comfortable in size 12 jeans, a size 14 in dress slacks, and medium sweaters/t shirts. From size 4x button down blouses to a 16/18 so there is enough room for my "wings". Thank you, everyone! Carol

Carol, Happy Anniversary! You've done great. It seems like everyone of us from April 2006 has done extremely well and I attribute alot of that due to the wonderful support in this room. Hopefully that will continue in year two of our new life. Good luck. Floyd

Carol, you have done wonderfully. I never thought that I might gain in height without all that extra poundage. I will have to check! Julia

Way to go, Carol! I can't believe you grew an inch. Maybe I should measure myself. An extra inch would be awesome. You have done such a great job. Wishing you continued success in your journey, Lisa

In high school I was 5'10", I know we all lose height with age, but in my case the excess weight surely contributed as well. It is much easier to stand taller now, and the added bonus is better health, yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
