One Year Today - New Pics
Hey April friends! I am so grateful to all of you. I don't get to spend nearly as much time as I would like on the boards lately, butI always know where to come for support! Right here! Here is my 1 year surgiversary post on the main messageboard this morning:
It has all been said before, but not by me! Happy one year surgiversary to me! One year ago today, I entered the surgery room so excited (and just a little bit nervous!) and full of hope. Every expectation I had has been surpassed and I'm not finished yet! I am healthier today than I was as a slim teenager. Exercise is now a vital part of my life. I go four times a week for one hour without fail. I love the way I look and feel. Not just normal, but pretty good for a 46 year old broad. The WOW moments are too many to list and you have heard them all before. I will share the biggest one: Pre-op, I had sleep apnea and slept with a CPAP machine. The only way I could sleep with that damn machine was in my recliner. Sleeping in my bed now with my husband is a wondrous thing! My whole family is so proud of me and have been so supportive. Is there anything I miss? The built-in shelf of my stomach. It used to be so handy for eating in my recliner! My biggest problem post surgery? There are not enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do now! I think my husband is rethinking this surgery, I am wearing him out! I posted some new pictures on my profile. I am amazed at the difference. I love you all and am thankful for all the support and knowledge you have shared with me both before and after my surgery.
