Munchie Attack.....
Is anyone else having them?
I am fighting so hard not to give in, today I bought another box of 100 calorie packs of sunchips, cheetios and doritto's- it is either eat them or the real thing. I am having such a hard time. I haven't gained any weight but I haven't lost that darn 1 pound in what 2 weeks! I am drinking my water, eating my protein first, I ate a 3 oz burger for my evening meal and for the first time in a long time I felt what I thought might be full. I so do not want the carb monster to get my number long term how can I kick him in the butt before it gets too far? (s
Jenni, I am so glad you posted. I was going to ask the exact same question today. Last night, I was starving. No, I didn't eat lunch only drank carnation instant breakfast. I ate 3 pieces of pizza in about 45 minutes for dinner. What on earth happened? I usually can't even get one piece of pizza down. Granted they were small pieces, but still....... Yikes, I am so scared. I thought maybe it was my new meds Neurontin and EffexorXR that I am taking for the newly diagnosed Fibromyalgia. I read through all of the literature and neither have a high incidence of the munchies as a side effect. Help me please. I never want to be fat again. I even had a lady who I had known for about a year and hadn't seen in a couple of months tell me yesterday she didn't know who I was. Talk about a WOW moment. I was so happy and I never want that joy to go away with weight gain. What do we do?????????????? HELP!!!!!!!! KIm M.
Today, I am trying to drink water instead of putting anything in my mouth! I bought some of that Laughing Cow cheese stuff thinking I have seen folks eat it on here, there isn't much protein in it (2.5 per wedge).
I am trying so hard, and that is all we can do, is not give into the cravings, and if we do give in well it is like riding a bike we get up and start again. This isn't like a "diet" where we have to do this and do that, it is a lifestyle change, we have changed. Now we have to keep it up, and everyday isn't going to be as easy as our first 6 months. It is work now, protein, water, vitamins, more protein, more gas.....LOL
Each day is a new day and we have to use our tools to the best of our knowledge we know what is right and wrong to eat, we just have to as Nike says "Just Do It"!
We have all done so well, and we will all struggle with things forever, we now know what we are fighting for, God and our surgeon's helped us to get the weight off, its now up to us to keep it off. I don't have will power, but I like this body and want to keep it healthy and I need to watch what I eat and exercise to get it!
Sorry this is so long but I needed to type it so I can also get it in my head......
Good luck!
I heard that by consuming bad carbs it will increase your desire for carbs even more. So we should avoid them .... period. I have had a few carb cravings myself. I usually won't buy them or have them in the house. If my husband wants them I have him hide them from me so I am not tempted to eat them. It will be a lifelong struggle for many of us. Good luck.

Jenni G. I am also, having trouble with the carbs, so I tried not to buy any. I am like you and I pick up the 100 calorie stuff, but shouldnt even have that around. Maybe if I pick up more fruit, and when I start craving something grab a fruit, maybe that will help.
I have increased my exercise so I have found that I crave more carbs since. I even eat more calories than I did before. I dont want to be fat again. I am my all means not skinny yet, but I am not as fat as I was. I am like you I DO NOT WANT TO GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK.
I will not gain it back.
We need each other support alot now. I am glad that I have such good support.
Thanks everyone, We WILL GET THOUGH THIS TOGETHER!!!
