The saga of my PS consult

Rebecca, I was hoping to have my arms done before the summer, but now I think I am going to wait until the fall. I can't see recuperating from surgery during the summer heat (but then it might not affect me the same way this year.) I just want to try and have it all done before I turn 50 which will be a little over two years. Take care Sue

You are so brave, and at least you know what the doc wants/expects. I called the PS Doc's office and they said I couldn't even make an appointment until I had maintained my weight for 6 months. Good luck with the scale, don't worry about what it says (within reason), cause it can change by the hour. Have an awesome night! Jenni

Thanks Jenni, I am going to weigh myself once every two weeks. At my support group, they've discussed that the weight fluctuates too much on a daily or even weekly basis, so I think I can handle every two weeks! The lady who handles the insurance the PS office called me today and went over a few things so I will post that later. Take care, Sue

You have lost an incredible amount of weight! Congrat's on that. Thanks for sharing your ps info with us. It is an option that I am interested in some time in the future. Keep us posted. Sher

Thanks so much, Sher. I will definitely let everyone know that I am told, who know maybe it will help someone else. Take care, Sue

Sue, Thanks for sharing your experience. I've been maintaining my weight for a couple months now. My wife told me the other day that all I have left is skin, so I'm starting to think seriously about having PS. Appreciate you sharing. Floyd

Hope it helped, Floyd. Do you know of any PS offices near you? I researched online and spoke to a lot of people and even tho I am very happy with the consultation and the dr, I am still keeping my options open. Sue
