Plastic surgery consult
I know I am a bit premature with this, but I scheduled a consultation with a plastic surgeon for next month. I want to know everything I can so I can plan toward it. I have so much excess skin and I am sure that I will be paying for a lot of work I want done. I have a lot of itchy rashes under my belly and I am hoping that this might buy me a free ticket for at least the TT being done. This might sound silly, but I am hoping that they don't get rid of my C-section scar. I always feel that my scars are part of my road map of life, but I can deal if they remove that skin, too. But I also want my wings clipped, my boobs lifted and my chicken skin filleted so I figure let me explore what I have to do. A woman I know from my son's old school had work done with him and he also has a very strong following on Obesityhelp.
I sent an email to a friend of mine who had already had an armlift done, asking about her doctor and such. She changed the subject title to read "A Farewell to Arms." which I thought was adorable!
Enjoy the rest of the day,
Sue
I'm with Jenn - I would dearly love to have plastic surgery done but want to wait to see if kids are on the way. But then again I was talking to someone and she said that her daughter tightened back up after having kids, she had a tt before getting pregnant. So maybe it would work - probably have to talk to the plastic surgeon about that scenario.
good luck,
sarah
Hello
I have already been to my family doctor in January to start documenting my rashes and belly skin. I had her order me some anti fungal cream and I am keeping records of everything.
I go back to her in May for my Pap. And I will bring pictures of the skin and rashes. I am documenting everything.
In May we have the plastic surgeon speaking at our support group (for the second time). I really like him. I will make an appointment with him in May or June to start the insurance ball rolling.
I will get letters from my family doctor, surgeon and plastic surgeon...and have all my doctor visits, pictures and RXs documented for the insurance.
So as you see, I am being pro active for surgery I hope to have in December 2007. (only time my job is slow enough to allow me this much time off).
OH, I am only getting a Tummy tuck for now (no muscel tightening) just skin cut off. Then, I will look into my legs for next year. Thighs are really bad too!
