I am finished with the 6 day plateau buster diet and have lost 6.2 pounds this week. Excellent. Hope I can maintain that and continue a losing streak. I know it won't be that much a week but maybe it will jump start things where I can lose 2 to 2.5 pounds per week again. Thanks for the plan Kathleen. Julia W.

Rebecca, I seemed to have enough energy but the last two days I started having muscle cramps in my legs at night. I have had them before but usually if I drink enough liquids they do not occur. I know I am drinking enough now so am unsure if I just need to eat or what. It probably has nothing to do with the diet. I am going to have my bowl of cream of wheat right now!! It did get easier as the week went on and let me know I can survive without sugar free mocha/lattes!! Julia

Ana, Kathleen's nutritionist gave this to her-----Try to do the liquid diet for 6 days. Just clear liquids for 3 days, then on the fourth day do the clear liquids plus one protein shake a day for the next three days. I think it worked for me but the true test will be to see if it has kicked my metabolism up a notch now that I have finished it. Julia P. also did it at the same time as I did and she was doing well. And of course Kathleen used it too. Julia W.

So for the first 3 days, you don't do protein? Just clear liquids? Heck - I do 2-3 protein shakes a day now plus meals. I'm willing to do it though if it will make my scales move. Kari

Hi Kari, It has worked for me. No protein for 3 days then just add one protein shake a day for the next three days. I isn't easy but now that I can eat again, I am not as anxious or interested in eating as I was before. I don't think I would want to do it often but occationally, would be o.k. Let us know how it works for you if you decide to try it. I have to say the first couple of days I ate about 2 ounces of almonds but after that--just the liquids. Julia

I'm going to try it, starting today. I will be taking some Jell-o to work. I think it is still considered clear liquid... liquid at room temp was the instructions I got from my Dr. after surgery. Broth and Jell-o today. You think decaf coffee with powdered creamer would be off limits? Kari

Kari, the jello doesn't have to be liquid. It is considered a liquid because it melts. It can be any liquid that you can see through, hot or cold. Good luck. Julia

Julia, 6 pounds in one week? Wow! That is great! I am trying it today....I have been indulging in too many carbs. Thanks for the inspiration! Cyndi
