Life saving WOW moment

Yesterday I had to take CPR update training. During the training we have to simulate doing the heimlich maneuver on each other and I suddenly remembered last time I renewed, the person trying to demonstrate on me, could not get their arms around me. I remember thinking I would be doomed if I choked on something if they didn't put me on the floor and do it from the front instead of reaching around to your abdomen from the back. This time it was easy for them to do that. I was so pleased. Julia

Kim, You are right, my health has improved so many ways and that was one I had forgotten about. I also had a fear of having to be carried from some place after being in an accident and hurting someones back or worse because of my weight. Now I won't worry about that so much. Julia

It is the normal things in life that were not normal before WLS that we appreciate so much now...we fit in and don't have to be embarrassed anymore by our bodies. Good for you Julia...just think...everyday is a new adventure and we can be used to encourage others whether overweight or thin.... Joan M

Julia, That's wonderful. Sometimes we don't even think about how many things have changed since WLS. So many little things that we take for granted. Thanks for sharing. Floyd
