Coming back home!
Tarra, I think it is probably a good basic plan and if you eat your protein first, as we are suppose to and stop when full, you will do o.k. with it. I do remember "the grapefruit diet"! There is something about the grapefruit helping with weight loss
but don't remember what! Hang in there. You can do it. Julia
Welcome back Tarra...my name is Joan and my surgery date April 25...I amdown from 290 to 157. I still cannot do as much food as this plateu diet calls for. I can barely get 2-3oz of any kind of meat in. And then 1/2 C of salad or vegie is a stetch. And then grapefruit? WOW, I would burst.
Some of us on here respond and are accountable forour food intake using the Ethel wants to know what ya eating post I try to post daily. You are welcome to join us here. I know I get ideas from a lot of people here.
You can do this Girlfriend and I will be praying for you.
In Him,
Joan M
Thanks Joan - I know that sounds like a lot of food - and I too wouldn't be able to get 4 - 6 oz. of meat in - I really wasn't following the portions as much as I'm trying to follow ANY pre-written daily menu plan...the less I have to think about what to eat the better off I am...half the time, the reason why I end up eating something I shouldn't is because I failed to plan and end up just grabbing anything. I'm sure I'll probably modify the amounts of meat I eat down to 1 or 2 ounces.
Anyhow, thanks so much for your advise - i'll keep an eye out for the ethel posts.
