Need Opinion..on nails
Hello everyone, I was wondering does anyone else have this problem....My nails are brittle and keep cracking, and breaking.
I have been told by my nut to take hair, nail, and skin vitamins, so far it doesnt seem to be doing the trick. I am taking biotin.
Does anyone have a suggestion? My hair is finely growing and I am hardly losing any now, but my nails are worse. I never had this problem before, they use to grown so much that I had to cut them off, now they are down to the quick and I hate that, makes my fingers hurt and crack. I have never used arcylic or nail polish, and I hate fake nails, so never used them.
I need HELP people!!
My nails are better than before. I always had pretty nice nails and they would stay long as long as I kept polish on them and was't washing things with bleach water without gloves but I used to have these ridges in my thumb nails. Now, the ridges are gone. I just noticed that recently.
How long have you been taking the vitamins your Nutritionist suggested? It probably takes awhile to get into your system and then show up as your nails grow out.

My nails are so much better since I've had surgery... I think it is the multi-vitamin. I had and still have hair loss...but only I can tell. I shed all over the place... I shed more than my two long hair cats HA! Most of my loss that I can tell is around the hairline along my forehead and temples.. which now has little sprigs of hair sticking out...kind of makes me look fuzzy around that area lol Well, I really don't have any suggestions... but one thing that has worked for me in the past was this stuff I got from one of those kiosks in the mall. It was some sort of buffing block that had 4 different sides that buffed, polished, smoothed, and made the nail look shiny with the oil that it came with. Anyways, hopefully your problem won't last too long

I added in Coromega, which is in a ketchup-packet-looking thing. It has omega-3s which give you a good dose of fats that help with skin, hair, and nails.
Try overdoing it on the protein for a week. Get 100-120g every day and see if it helps. This totally changed me. I was getting the required 60-80g a day, but the nutritionist said that with the way my body was malabsorbing, I wasn't getting in enough. So, now I keep it over 100g a day and I'm doing so much better. I guess we even absorb differently!
