Pain?

I was just wondering if anyone else has had pain under their left rib cage (like second or third rib up, below the breast). I have had it since yesterday, it comes and goes. It doesn't hurt too bad just a sharp pain every once in awhile. I thought it was gas at first because I was really gasy, but today it is still there. Didn't exercise so it isn't a pulled muscle but not sure if I should call the doc or if I should just wait a few days and see if it goes away. Anyone else ever have pain in the same spot? I haven't had any pain there. I'd call the Doctor. With the weekend coming you won't be able to get ahold of him unless it's an emergency for a couple of days so I'd just want to talk to him now and see if he wanted me to come in. I always feel better safe than sorry. I hope it goes away and you are feeling better soon. Lizzie

Jenni, You might have that checked, sounds like it could be gallbladder attack, that is if you havent had your gall badder removed yet. They say with a large amount of weight loss can cause gallstones. Hope you are feeling better soon Kathleen

have you done any weird lifting?? what were you doing when it started? I agree it couldbe your gall bladdder but I would think more gall stones if it was on your right

I haven't lifted anything out of the normal. It hasn't hurt much this evening, it seems to come and go. I do have my gall bladder, but the pain is on my left side so I think I am safe there? I guess I will wait and see, it isn't unbearable pain so time will tell.... Thanks for the responses everyone I just wanted to know if anyone else has had pains in that same spot.
