Rings

Well my wedding ring was driving me nuts as it kept sliding all around my finger and seemed to stay with the pretty side down so I took it in today to get it resized and have gone from a tight 8 to a 5 1/2. I may have to have it done again when I get to goal, but I couldn't stand it any longer. I had to take it off at night or lose it in the bed. WOW I'd say!! Another thing I thought about today when I was going to the public bathroom where I went shopping was that I no longer need to use the large handicapped stalls cause I do o.k. in the regular puny ones!! I wore a temp. ring for a couple of years when I was going up and up in weight and finally got it resized. I decided I would not do that again so gave up and will resize it twice if I have to. I was wearing a smaller ring next to my wedding ring just to keep it on! At least I will never have to go up in size again!! Julia

Julia, that is a wow moment. I can relate to the ring thing. I got my rings increased in size several years ago since I had been unable to wear them for over 20 years(they got to small) Now I know I should resize smaller since I almost lost my diamond one day loading my groceries onto conveyer belt, that really scared me. Wow, that is great. I too have had to go down two sizes since surgery in wedding bands. I went and had it resized just a couple of weeks ago, it didnt go over the knuckle yet, but it will soon. I started at a 9 1/2 and now can almost wear a 7 cool. Like you I too can fit in a regular stall at Wal-Mart. No handicapped stalls for us anymore, Kathleen

Kathleen, congrats on downsizing your ring. I think mine will now last until I get to goal and if it needs to be smaller I will gladly do it again. I certainly will never have to go up in size again. You know I still head straight for the handicapped stall in the restrooms but now I remember to stop at the regular one. I always remember to thank God for this tool every time I am in the bathroom! I don't think He minds! Julia

That's great I'm wearing a different ring as a wedding band until I'm done losing weight then I'll have my ring resized. Lizzie

I am wearing my Grandma's wedding ring right now but got a sizer put on at the jewerly shop before Christmas but that is too big now also so I am waiting until I am at goal to resize. Who would have ever thought we would have such 'problems'...... Kinda like when I whine about my clothes being to big after I just buy them..It is better than too small but it is still a pain!

I wore a different ring as a wedding band for over 2 years, because I could not get mine on. I finally sized it up and this time, decided I didn't want to put it away even for a few more months. This size may be o.k. when I reach goal but if not, I will have it done again. While it is not my original wedding ring (just the diamonds are from my orignial), I really love my ring. I have been married 34 years as of today!! Julia
