Kristen...that is measurement enough isn't it? Size 12, did you ever truly believe you could see that size again? I know I didn't...I just hoped... Love ya, Joan M

I can't wait to get home to try my new "Curves Body Analysis Scale" from Avon. I wish I would have had something like this when I first started losing the weight. It measures fat %, body water %, bone mass, muscle %, and shows how much energy you should absorb each day. It should be fun, if it works! Tomorrow I should measure but I am affraid too as this hasn't been a very good month for me and exercise so it depends if I get brave or not!

Dont be afraid...you may be surprised! Wow that scale sounds like the bomb but my old mind cannot understand how it can tell what is bone, fat, skin or water... Joan M

Hi All, I just got back earlier from my 9 month check up with my surgeon. He is very pleased with my progress, down 144 lbs. I've never measured, but i did go from 326 to 182. I was wearing a 2x or 3x in pants and am now a 16, going into a 14. I was 2x or 26/28 in shirts and I am now a medium to large. My surgeon told me that the average patient loses 80% of their excess weight and at 9 months, I've lost 81% so I am doing above average. Take care all and have a great weekend! Sue

I told my surgeon that when he told me I would get down to 200 or so that I was determined to prove him wrong, but I didn't say that until today! I figured it wouldn't make sense to say it until I actually did it. He told me I still have another 9 months to go. He is happy if I get down another 10 lbs. I would be happier with 30 - 40 more. But to be honest, I really like where I am now. I feel great and I understand your feeling of not getting that "look". I don't know whether it's me being more confident or people just not being judgemental, but I feel so normal nowadays, or as my kids would add, as normal as I can be! Take care, Sue

well I haven't kept up with mine but I do keep up with my weight LOL... I started this journey weighing in at 422 day of surgery and I'm currently at 242. So that is a loss of 180lbs in 9 months!!!!!! I never in a million years would have imagined I could have lost this much so soon but I'm living proof that it can be done! I'm only 67 lbs from my goal and 94 from my doctors goal. I just know that I can do it!!!!! Love to All, Rose
