Always hungry
I am jealous of a lot of you who have to force yourselves to eat. It seems as if I am always hungry. I get hungry about every 1.5-2 hours! This isn't normal! In the old days I wold have popped an appetite supressant, but I don't think that would be a good idea now. Does anyone have a clue about what to do? Is this happening to you?
some days it does..
thats when i pull out the drinks..
and I lecture myself "oops you can't eat for 30 mins you had a drink... "
start to feel hungry again and drink more.. lecture agian..
it sucks.. it really started about a month ago..
rally conflicting with the morning sickness too I can't seem to win..
I am hungry then I puke..
therefore I am hungry again.. I thought it was happening because I couldn't keep anything down.
now with the MS subsiding I am still hungry..
so I am drinking and lecturing myself constantly.. I am hoping that it will become habit and I dn't hav to spend the rest of my life lecturing..
Honey,
I have said this before I feel like I eat and eat, this morning I got up and got on the scale and it was 170 that is like a 3lb gain (I am not freaking yet, as I only count Monday weights) but 3 pounds!
I am trying to drink more and more, LOL it doesn't help when I drink slimfast or protein shakes or hot cocoa with protein powder. (very high in calories) I know some folks are only eating like 500 calories I know I eat a heck of a lot more than that.....
We just have to stick together and hold ourselves accountable for our actions, when we want food and it isn't our time to eat we have to drink water!
Your in my thoughts...
P.S. I will have to remind myself of that when it is 11pm and I want ice cream or turkey and swiss cheese!
Jenn, I too have been feeling hungry more. I try to steer myself from the kitchen so that I dont eat. I usually grab me a sf icee pop. They have only 10 or 15 calories and they usually make me full, so that I dont want anything else to eat. I think this must be a normal reaction for 9 months, that is why we have to learn to use the tool the doctors gave us. Have to remember it isnt a fix, but a tool to help us as long as we help the tool to work. Listen to me, trying to lecture I am by know means any better, I have to remind myself every 5 minutes that I cant eat the way I use to. Thank the good Lord and the doctor that I now have to stop after eating so much, or get sick.
I wish I knew how to stop it, but sorry, I am in the same boat as you, lol. I dont seem to have problems getting in my protein, but sure get alot of carbs and calories too, which isnt good.
Good luck to all of us, cause we sure dont want to gain the weight, we worked so hard to lose, back.

Jenn, You are not alone. I can't say I am always hungry but I have my moments too. Especially when I am by myself each evening ( my husband goes to bed very early). That's when I find my self wanting to eat something. (I think that I am bored, really not physically hungry). What I try to do is leave something to eat from my days allotment of food so that I don't go beyond what I should eat for the day. I also try to keep busy with my hands, I have been working on a scrapbooking project on my computer lately. Before that for about nine months I was crocheting a king sized blanket for my bed which I finally finished. I have to think about what I can do for my next project when I am finished with this one.
Hang in there, Sher
I understand too...even though I can't hold a lot...I do get hungry now which is a big change for me...I try to have low fat, low carb options available...like today...making soup with left over chicken with bok choy, onion small amount due to carbs, celery, mushrooms....then I can sip on broth and have the protein and veggies. And it is warm..yum...or I do the cottage cheese w/SF preserves, or strong cheese...try to eliminate carbs because they make me want to have more carbs...vivious cycle. I think we are all seeing that the grace period is dwindling down and we have to work harder for each 2/10's of a pound on the scales.
This is not easy as some think it is BUT it is worth it!
Keep pressing in Jenn and everyone else...we can and will do this...let's just encourage each other and give each other some hints that help up. I have tried to incorporate more water..but with being so cold all the time, the last thing I want is cold water....but I try hard to increase it.
You can do this!

I am right there with all of you too. I have started to log all my food on fitday. Just so I have greater accountability of what I am eating. I try to stay at 1000-1200 calories a day and have increased my physical activity. I am so envious of the people only getting 800 calories (or less) and being satisfied. Night is when I have the hardest time. My husband has been on night shift and I think I just get bored/lonely. And with the weight loss slowing that is a little depressing...I would like to lose another 50 lbs. And I am so mad that I have only lost a little over 100 lbs since the surgery.
I get hungry too. It's definately worse when I eat carbs that aren't whole grain or when I forget to have a protein drink in between meals (as a snack). If I eat something like pretzels I'm looking for more to eat in an hour or so. Carbs make me crave more carbs so I try to stay away from everything but a small amount of whole grain carbs.
