Hi all, I am not a usual poster, but had my surgery 4/17/06. Lately, I feel like .... (well, I know I have) been eating too much. I feel like I am hungry all the time, and even want to binge eat. I think a lot of this is psychological, but I find myself longing for the days when I didn't even WANT to eat!!! I guess I am just looking for support, maybe even someone else who has gone through/is going through this. I am so TERRIFIED of getting fat again. 308.5 at consult 195.5 today 160 goal 5 ft. 11 in. thanks, and congrats to all who are looking and feeling fab!

yeah, I know how you feel. I'm thinking it is psychological myself. These past couple of days have been horrible for me eating wise, but I've made myself exercise though. They say our surgeons only operated on our stomachs... not our brains. I've concluded that food will be a struggle for the rest of my life. You've done great by the way! April

Anne, believe you I know what you mean, it has become a struggle for me for the last 2 weeks. I never had this problem before, so I dont know what brought it on. I want to stop it short though, because I dont want to be fat again. I came to far to go back now. I find myself grazing, and eating things that I shouldnt have. So I am trying to exercise more, but there are some days, I dont even get that in. I seem to be so tired alot. Maybe it is the weather, and I am coming down with something. I know today, everything I have eaten has no taste, which is odd. You are doing wonderful and have come along way. Keep up the good work. Kathleen

Anne, I found myself looking around for stuff to snack on in December. Maybe boredom or frustration at not being able to eat the Christmas goodies etc. although I did not really feel bad about not eating the sugary stuff. I didn't eat much that was bad for me but maybe snacking on too many things that were good for me. It was like I was on the prowell for food. This is also a big bad habit for me before surgery so really need to watch it. I did not lose as well in December or Novemeber for that matter. Exercise was stopped in the name of Christmas activities. I have started exercise at Curves again and I have found that the prowelling (I don't think that is spelled right!!) is gone. I do think that will occur again and I need to be ready to recognize it for what it is, a bad habit, and move on. Julia

Anne, You are not alone. I have been nibbling on this and that alot lately. I know for me it is emotional eating once again because life has been really hard lately. I don't ever want to be fat again either. I think I am going to go back to writing everything down again. That might help. Kim M.

I agree..I have been "feeling hungry" but I try to remember to drink water and then wait to see if I was thirsty or hungry. I just miss some warm foods...like top raman soup Yuck not good for me but warm...do not eat it but want it. So I will make me some chicken broth with added chicekn and veggies I can have and get warm. You have done great...but I agree we need to stop the bad habits before they take control again. I always turn to FF cottage cheese w/SF jam to eat as snack. Press in you can do this!! Look to the goal....keep eyes fixed on it..don't let any food take that from you. In His love, Joan M

Anne, can I jump in your boat.....Keeping food out of my mouth as been a daily heck minute by minute fight. I just keep drinking, my water intake over the last few weeks has really went up. LOL I did start drinking hot cocoa with protein powder in it also like by the big mug full kind. I guess I feel better drinking my calories than eating them?!?!!?? Good luck!

I find I munch a lot less if I stay away from white carbs and keep up with my protein drinks. Lizzie 333/222/???

Ohhhhh Anne. Welcome to my world. Table for one? I am trying so hard to stop looking at the clock thinking, "When can I eat again? Is 3 hours too soon?" *sigh* But yesterday I had to stop at In & Out burger for a bathroom break and I fought the urge to get a hamburger! I was so proud of myself! But I agree with whoever sdaid that I feel better drinking my calories instead of eating them. I am getting in too much protein I think. 155 grams yesterday. Do you think it could be keeping me from losing weight?
