New to me (maybe not to you) Protein drink recipe
I tried a new recipe tonight and I LOVE it!
I added a couple of tablespoons of canned pumpkin to a vanilla proein shake. It's delicious.
I put everything into my blender: water, canned pumpkin, protein powder (vanilla), cinnamon, splenda and some ice cubes. It was a little thick so I had to add some more water. OH MY GO****'s delicous.
Someone on a support group I'm on shared this recipe awhile ago but this is the first I've tried it. I'll definately be doing this again!

I don't add vanilla, my protein powder is vanilla flavored. I add the cinnamon to it because I like cinnamon with my pumpkin (think PIE) and I add splenda because canned pumpkin is unsweetened. Pumpkin is a vegetable and not sweet at all. I think the protein drink needs splenda to taste good.

I am drinking one as I type. Good except I think I overdid on the pumpkin and could have used more splenda. Unfortunetly I added some black walnut pieces to it also and they kind of over power everything but the pumpkin. Next time I will stick closer to the recipe. I did not have any vanilla protein powder so went out and bought pre-mix adkins advantage, I think it was. I have ordered a container of vanilla from unjury as I understand it is very good with crystal light powder so thought it sounded good. I love their chocolate!! Julia
Oh my goodnessI love pumpkin anything!!! I was dying for pumpkin spice coffee at Startbucks and they stopped selling it by the time I got to CO. Couldn't have the donuts from Krispy Kreme of the same flavor so this would be great for me! See this is why I think we should share....it really helps in getting creative.
