Fluid intake with meals- who does it????
I posted this on the main website but haven't got any replies so what or how are you guys doing with this
Who does the water loading 15 minutes before they eat no liquid with your meal and do you wait 30 minutes until after you eat to drink?
This isn't part of my doc's plan until you are 6 to 12 months which I now am, so I am wondering if a lot of people really do this?????
I know a few ladies in real life that don't but I am wondering if that is why I never really feel full?
Thanks and hope everyone is having a awesome night!
I HAVE drank with meals (shame on me) but I don't make it a habit. Usually when I'm out at a restaurant I'll have a drink with my meal. Though most of the time I stop drinking 30 minutes before my meal and then wait 30 minutes after to resume drinking. But this water loading concept sounds like a good idea. I have heard others doing it but never done it myself.
My surgeon said to stop drinking one hour before we eat and 30 minutes after. At this point, I don't time it as closely as I did when I first had surgery, but I try. Not drinking with my meal has been one of the hardest things to get used to, but I normally just take a couple sips of water if I need a drink.

I have to have a glass of water beside me when I eat. It is more a mental thing. Sometimes I have a sip, but try not too.
I don't drink much before or after my meals.
I really don't have hunger so I don't have to water load.
I just like the comfort of having a drink by me when I eat. Like I said, it is a mental thing.
