I posted this on the main website but haven't got any replies so what or how are you guys doing with this Who does the water loading 15 minutes before they eat no liquid with your meal and do you wait 30 minutes until after you eat to drink? This isn't part of my doc's plan until you are 6 to 12 months which I now am, so I am wondering if a lot of people really do this????? I know a few ladies in real life that don't but I am wondering if that is why I never really feel full? Thanks and hope everyone is having a awesome night!

I try not to drink before meals and do not drink with meals. I also do not drink but tiny sip after meal if really thirsty. I have read abou****er loading but since I am never reallyt hungry I don't want to block my pouch from being able to hold the food I need. But that is just me. Joan M

I HAVE drank with meals (shame on me) but I don't make it a habit. Usually when I'm out at a restaurant I'll have a drink with my meal. Though most of the time I stop drinking 30 minutes before my meal and then wait 30 minutes after to resume drinking. But this water loading concept sounds like a good idea. I have heard others doing it but never done it myself.

My surgeon said to stop drinking one hour before we eat and 30 minutes after. At this point, I don't time it as closely as I did when I first had surgery, but I try. Not drinking with my meal has been one of the hardest things to get used to, but I normally just take a couple sips of water if I need a drink. Floyd

I drink up until about 15 minutes before I eat, but I'm no****er loading... I'm just sipping my water like I do all day long. I do not drink with meals and I wait about 30 minutes after I eat to start drinking again. Lizzie 333/222/???

I dont do the water loading, never have. I stop eating at least 15 to 20 before my meals and 30 minutes after. I am ususally so full afterwards I dont even think about drinking. I never drink while eating, just a habit I got into since my surgery. Hope you are having an awesome night too. Kathleen

My surgeon said no fluid 15 minutes before a meal and 1 hour after and I try to stick to that. Eating out is where that bothers me the most---no coffee while I wait for my meal!! Julia

Rebecca, it is really too bad your friends month does not post. I agree with you---this is the board that helps me so much. I do read and participate in my state board and occ. the main board, but because we are all so close to the same stage, I get more out of this board than any other. Julia

I have to have a glass of water beside me when I eat. It is more a mental thing. Sometimes I have a sip, but try not too. I don't drink much before or after my meals. I really don't have hunger so I don't have to water load. I just like the comfort of having a drink by me when I eat. Like I said, it is a mental thing. Shelly
