Stuck and frustrated

I have been losing and gaining the same 3 pounds for the past two months. 255 one day, 252 the next. What is going on? I know that I am losing inches because the pants that I bought in November are now much looser on me. Just wondering if anybody else has gone thru this. I know that I need to increase the water and protein to jump start the weight loss again but I barely get my 60 grams of protein in as it is. How can I get even more? Just FRUSTRATED!! I know that the holidays didn't help - not that I was very bad, just sort of. Not keeping up with the exercise and water and answering the call of potato chips. I don't know what that is about either - the potato chip thing, I was never that into them before surgery but for the past few months I have NEEDED chips. Anybody else get cravings like that? On the plus side - how cool is it to see the scale reading 255(or 252 - depending on the day)? Especially when I started out in July 2005 at 401 and surgery weight of 368. argh! sarah

YEA THIS MONTH I have lost 3 gained 3 lol crazy I know ,drives me nuts & yes potatoe chips are not good I can not stop eating them also I think it is the salt I dnt know I have not had one in 4 days now lol that is my weakness also!!!wish they would make me sick then I would not eat them at all lol .

Have either of you tried the 100 calorie pringles snacks? I have a bit of sweet or salty tooth sometimes and I find that these seem to help for the taste of salty food. I also bought the WW lemon cake yesterday. Each cake has 80 calories and it helps for the sweet taste. It just helps for snack cravings, plus they are small enough to satisfy without going overboard. Sarah, Yes I went though that for 2 months, so I talked to my nutritionist and she had me do clear liquids for 3 days, then clear liquids with one protein shake for the next 3 days. IT WORKED. I have been losing weight since. I know that since we have been eating food that sometimes it is hard to go back to the basics, but I didnt think about that, I just wanted to lose the weight and not gain, so I did it. Yeah I get craving for chips now to. I have them here, but it is the ruffles light, and I eat a small handful and that usually satifiy me for a couple of days. But try the clear liquids, and see if that doesnt help. Love Kathleen

I am sorry I am having one of those moments where it like " what did you just say" I didnt plan my meals. I still dont plan, I just try really hard to eat everything that is high is protein and low in carbs. I only had beef, chicken, and even try the vegatable broth. I had only that for three days, then added the one protein shake a day (mixed with milk, as that is the only way I like it) for three more days. I also tried to increase my exercise, which for some reason, managed to do for that week, only, I was getting to many carbs and calories and not enough protein or exercise. It kicked started me up and have been losing since. Kathleen

Sarah...you have done great and I don't think there is anyone who hasn't experienced a stall. Our bodies need to be jumpstarted sometimes. The liquid diet is good idea. I increased protein shakes and it helped. I only mix 1 scoop with 6oz of water and drink three a day at 75 proteins. Then I add food like string cheese another 8grams, or cottage cheese with SF jam..that is good and sweet too. If I am hungry for snack i measure out little less than 1/4 C of dry roasted almonds and eat them one at a time. Hope this helps. In Him, Joan M
