Finally able to exercise
Well, yesterday started many (I hope) days of exercise for me. I tore my rotator cuff in July and haven't been able to exercise because even with arm hanging down it hurt. But I started using my Walk Away the Pounds video with weighted balls and I did it!!! Two miles plus the weight workout. Maybe I can tone these flabby areas and bat wings (yikes) and what is that skin above the knees? Anyone else have that? I think it came from waist down and landed there yuck!
I am wearing mainly size 10's now and they are loose in the lefs and bottom but tummy still snug in zipper pants due to extra skin.
I weighed 172 again this AM but am please with the 118lb loss so far (8 months).
Hope everyone has committed to some form of exercise so we can all tone up while we continue to lose.
Thanks to each of you here for all you information, encouragement and friendship.

Joan M
We just moved in October and our new house has a loft that we've turned into an exercise area. For Christmas, my wife and I decided to buy a new treadmill since our old one is about 20 years old, doesn't even incline. This is the time of year when they are all going on sale, so hope to have it soon. I'm below my goal so I want to get rid of this excess skin too. My stomach and legs are real bad. Hopefully the exercise will help. Good luck in your exercise program.

Thanks Floyd...all we can do is try and see how it helps...even if we don't look like yungins anymore we can certainly be healthier than we were before WLS...Amen?
Did I read that your wife had the surgery also? Does she post? What is her screen name?
Tell her I said hello...thanks for the encouragement.

My wife had surgery on April 7th and I had mine on April 18th. She just started posting yesterday, so you'll start to see her once in awhile. Her screen name is DalGal678. I have some pictures that I'm going to try and get posted too. I've lost 140 pounds and she's lost about 155. We're both feeling great!
Keep in touch,
Floyd
Joan...Thanks for the welcome. I don't have a lot of time for posting but I do read a lot from others. I walk on my treadmill and bought an Ab Lounger for the stretching to hopefully help the excess skin on the stomach. I try to get them both in at least 4 times a week. Our doctor said it should help with the loose skin. I would like to lose about 25 more pounds by April so the added exercise will help me with that too. My goal is to be at my goal by my 1 year anniv.(April 7). Wish me luck!
Brenda...I think your goal is realistic and it sounds like you have a plan of action which is good. Yes, we are not far apart in our surgery dates. My Dr. never gave me a definite goal weight but said I should lose about 170..Yikes...if I understood him correctly that would mean 120lb as my goal weight. That seems pretty small to me since I am in 10's now and weigh 171 this morning. I set my goal at 135 since I am almost 57yrs old. I will see when I see him at my March appt.
Thanks for replying...and again, welcome.
