Is anyone else having trouble sticking to everything or is it just me?
Darla,
It looks like you had your surgery the week after I had mine. I've gone below my goal and now am getting in some bad habits again. I've never really exercised much and hope to get started soon. My wife and I have decided to buy a new treadmill so that will help me get motivated, I hope. I'm with you on the fluids and protein too. We really need to force ourselves to keep it up. I can't always access my email at work and usually check it at night, but would love to keep in touch. My wife had surgery April 7th and mine was on April 18th, so the three of us have lots in common. Feel free to write us.

Hi Floyd,
I have about 35 pounds to go before I get to my personal goal, I'm affraid I'll get back into my old routien if I'm not careful. Christmas was a real challange for me and made me take a second look at what I'm doing to myself.
I'm determined to reach my goal and keep the weight off....
You are lucky to have your wife going through the same thing as you, I would think it would make it much easier during meal time. My husband is wonderful but doesn't have a weight issue so he still likes to have food around the house
Thanks for the support.
Darla
I am so glad you wrote this post. I have been having such a hard time! Especially thru Christmas. I swear, all the things I've learned have been thrown out the window. My New Year's resolution, is to get back on track with my healthy and weight loss. I still have about 40-50lbs to go, and I don't want to blow it. I've been slacking on my water, slacking on my protein, and thru the holidays, I've slacked on my exercise too. I would love to have an accountability buddy...I need a kick in the booty to get back in gear!
I've been having trouble since Thanksgiving. I've lost 115 pounds and all of a sudden I think I can eat anything I want. My portions have gotten bigger and I've been eating sweets. No dumping. I wish I did have the dumping experience because that would probally stop me from getting into the sweets. No exercising, very little water. Bad, Bad, Bad. I still have 65 pounds to go. There's days I don't even get my supplements down. So I'm going to develope a plan for myself today, write it down and chart how well I'm doing every day. I'll post my plan later today and then I'll post how well I've done every day. Maybe others with this problwm can do the same and we can help each other through these hard times.
Brenda, I am about the same place as your are. I had my surgery on 4-10-06 and have lost 116 pounds and would like to lose 65 more pounds. I know I have done well but have really slowed down. A plan is good and I think I will be doing that also. I need to get back into the exercise habit, writing down all my food intake on Fitday and STOP the sugar free mocha's I have returned to. I have them made with skimmed milk and sugar free mix with decaf but I think they are adding too many calories to my intake. I know getting back to Curves will help. I slacked off during December because of preparation for Christmas left me little time.
Lets work on this together, all of us, so the new year will continue to be a good losing year for those of us who still have weight to lose. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone. Julia
