Word for the year

Hi all of my April Buddies, I know many of us have set holiday goals, but I've been thinking it would be nice to have a word for the year. Obviously most of us had "journey" as our word for 2006. What a journey it has been! I think it's nice to be a bit introspective each New Year, and not necessarily be a goal, but a "theme" for the year. I think my word will be CHANGE. I just accepted a wonderful job offer and will begin this "change" on 1/2/07. What's your word ? Betsy 237/ 150/ 141/ ?? Surg/Dr Goal/Today/ reset goal!

Betsy, I agree with CHANGE. My wife and I had surgery in April, moved to a new state, bought a new house, in process of selling old one, and changed jobs. People accuse us of being in the federal witness protection program since we've changed so much in such a short time. Good luck in your new job and keep us updated. Floyd

I think your friends are right about that witness protection logic. I see that your profile is blank. Hiding something? Just kicking. It's great to hear that someone is making big changes in their life. Good luck with all of it. I would have to agree that Change is a good theme. I for one am looking forward to our up and coming re-birthdays.

I haven't been on this site very long and just haven't gotten my profile completed. I just recently got some new pics since I've lost all my weight. I'll try to get them up soon. I've lost about 140 pounds and am below my original goal. I'm trying hard to stop the weight loss (a problem I've never had before). Have a very Merry Christmas and a definate Happy New Year!

Although Change and Acceptance are GREAT, I think mine will be Perseverance....... steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., esp. in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. I definitely need to maintain perseverance with the difficulties, obstacles and discouragement that I've faced and will continue to face.

I like Besty's Perseverance and Persistence. I think I will steal or borrow that from her!! It describes my needs perfectly. Thanks Betsy! Good luck to every one in the new year. I hope it only gets better and better for all of us. Julia

Betsy everyone has chosen a great word, and I believe that they will all apply to each of us in certain ways. I have chosen A New Outlook for my word(s). I would like for my mind to catch up with my look of my new body, as I still see myself as fat, (just not as fat). I need a lot of help with the new outlook on myself, so that is the words I am going to chose for my theme for the new year. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And let not forgot that JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON Kathleen G from MO

My word for this new year will be Determination.... this is what is listed in the thesaurus for determination, strength of mind, willpower, resolve, purpose, fortitude, grit... I like all of these word(s) and they all will help me get to goal and maintain. I think I will have it scrolling across my computer screen so I can see it each day. I am determined! Happy Holidays Everyone! Darla
