Haven't seen to many on here lately. Must mean you all are out doing the Christmas things, shopping, cooking, parties, and just being plum worn out. I hope everyone is doing great and having a wonderful time. I have been exerciseing again, which I should have been doing all along, but the scales moved 2 lbs in a week, so maybe I am back on track, I hope. :cheer: Take care everyone, hope everyone can check in once in awhile. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!! Kathleen G. from MO

Lost three days last week losing the fight to catch a cold. Wanted to die Wednesday, knew I was gonna die Thursday, went to see the doctor, (my regular PCP was gone for the day so I saw the "new" doc in the clinic, he is almost out of puberty and has the most outstanding people skills) got an antibiotic for the sinus infection over the cold which still has to run its course, spent Friday trying to catch up on sleep lost to runny nose, and crawling to the bathroom, whining like a 3 year old cause I felt like sh@t. Just hated having to use sick time being so miserable but felt human Saturday and better so far today so I am on the mend, thank you God. Gosh that was refreshing, not. Anyway the cold won big time but I am on the mend. Happy holidays to you all, and please don't catch my cold. Carol

Hi Carol There are so many people around me, at work & family, who have been sick. Both with colds and some stomach virus that's going around. Fortunately, I've managed to not get either. I'm sorry you were so sick but I'm glad you're feeling better. If I lived close by, I'd have brought you some homemade chicken soup and a thermos of hot herbal tea with lemon .

Yikes, Carol! That sounds like one killer cold. I have managed to avoid my husband's sinus infection for 2 weeks now. I think it might be the vitamins I have to take everyday that are saving my butt. Anyway, glad you're feeling better! Jenn

Thanks Jenn, I hadn't caught a cold in atleast a decade, and another ten years will be too soon. Colds are nasty. Still on antibiotics for the sius infection, but was able to go to work today and support group this evening so it is definately getting better. Carol

Hi Kathleen I think you and I joined the gym at the same time. It's really going to make a difference, I'm sure. I lost 5 pounds my first week and that really jump-started my incentive to go regularly. I hadn't lost anything for 3 weeks. So let's keep it up!

Don't worry about the scale not moving. I have it 3 or 4 platues where the scale stays the same weight of moves up a couple of pounds for periods as long as 2 or 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden, WHAM, 3 ro 5 pounds gone. It just our bodies getting used to the new weight and diet. Anyway congrats on your progress and keep up the good work.
