I,ve hit another plateau
here I am almost 8 months out and I have hit another plateau. I have lost 89 lbs and have another 30-35 to go. the scale has been frozen for the last month and a half. I have lost inches but not pounds. I work out every day, so Iam quite frustated. please please please tell me this is normal my surgeon says so but i like to hear it from people who have been there.

I've lost a total of 105 I am stuck as well but I am still losing inches I know I went from yes "God is so good " a size 56 inch waist to a size 34 so I am happy about that but I do want to lose 10(actually 20) more pounds but it is gonna be very tuff I weigh in every Monday and if no weight lost tommorow which I know it won't be it will be 4 weeks and no lost
I too have hit a plateau. In fact I lost 5 lbs last month just to gain this back this weekend. I am not doing anything different, so it is so frustrating. I have lost 107 and my body doesnt want me to lose anymore I think. I cant exercise for another week, because of hernia surgery, so I dont know what else to do.

I'm right there with you, ladies. I am 8 months out today and it has been almost 2 months since I lost!!! But I worked all this past weekend putting up Christmas lights and decorations and I lost 3 pounds (now 152). I hesitate to even count them though because they'll probably be back tomorrow.
It is frustrating, but I look at myself now compared to 8 months ago and I really can't complain. I feel so much better and am very thankful for having lost the 92 (94?) pounds that I have. I would never have done it without this surgery. I try to look at it that way when I get discouraged that the scale is not moving.
Warmest regards to all, Bonnie
As long as you are losing inches, you have not hit a plateau. A true plateau is when you are losing no weight or inches.
This is normal!! Your body needs time to catch up. You are losing inches because you are building muscle and your body is shifting things around. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you may even gain a pound or a few pounds for that matter. This is OK! Don't worry about it! Just keep doing everything that is in your program and you will be fine! The weight will come off again.
I find that when I go into 'flat' mode, I end up with my clothes starting to get too big again. What I usually do to jump start the weight loss again, is increase the amount of food that I am eating for a day or two. It seems to make my body think that it can relax and do it's thing again.
Good luck!
