With the holidays coming, I always get asked to bring munchies to parties. Let's throw out some protein-rich ideas/recipes so that there is at least one thing we are able to eat at the party. Mine: Ham rollups A few pkgs Carl Budding Ham Low fat cream cheese scallions Trim the roots and top green parts of the scallions and cut the scallions in half lengthwise. After cream cheese is soft, spread about a pencil size roll on each slice of ham press a length of scallion (trimmed to fit) into the cheese Roll it up. Slice about a pencil wide

OH great idea, I have a co-worker who does those ham rollups but instead of scallions, she puts in pickeled asparagus... yummy! How about deviled eggs, shrimp, and cheese slices.... Darla

I have a dip I make that I dip veggies in. Cottage Cheese with beef bouliion whipped together with beaters until creamy. Yummy and Great Protein. Never know it was cottage cheese. Also I made this at my daughters party last Sat. and it was easy and yummy. No protein but good for you. 1 cup raisins 1 cup walnuts 1 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup light mayo 4 red apples chopped Stir it and put in a tub in frig. Great snack and party side dish. Very crunchy and light. Sharon

I have found Turkey summer sausage ( about 1/3 less calories thatn the beef) , sliced with 2% cheese and served with reduced fat triscuits. My skinny workmates could not tell the difference! I also wedge apples and cut wedges in half (to make bite size) , dip in pineappl juice ( or lemon - keeps from truning brown) and top with a bit of peanut buttter and sprnkle with a mix of atificial sweetener mixed with cinnamon Also plain cooked and chilled shrimp with coctail sauce if the budget allows.
