Triple Special Day!
1 - My daughter Gabrielle is finally leaving Baltimore today after almost three months! She had three surgeries on her hips and pelvic bone and now gets to go home to do physical therapy. YEAH! (Special shout out to Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Baltimore Ronald McDonald House)
2 - Today I hit my Halloween goal of 174 lbs. Magic number: I am no longer obese, just overweight. YEAH again!
3 - I finally figured out how to add pictures to my profile. Come visit!
Love to all of my OH friends, Lisa
Lisa,
It is a wonderful day for you. I am glad to hear your daughter is out of the hospital and on to the recovery part of the healing process. It also sounds like you were very happy with the place she was in and they treated her well.
No longer Obese!!!! I bet it feels great!
I just updated to the new profile myself so I know how frustrating it can be to learn how to get things done on the board.
I wish you continued Triple Special days!

Hi Lisa! Congrats on all of your achievments!!! I wish I would have known you were in Baltimore. My daughter works at Johns Hopkins in the Immunogenitics Lab matching donors and I could have met you for coffee or lunch and a chat. I am glad to hear your daughter is doing better. She should be up and around and out and about before you know it. Hopkins is the best there is.
Yeah to you for hitting your goal! I didn't make one because I get pissy if I don't make it. I am at 173 so we are neck & neck like always. I was at 172-70 lost but the scale is playing its 1 to 2 pounds games again.
I wish I could figure out how to put on pics. I computer stupid. Maybe I will be able to get one of my kids to show me! LOL
Have a great day and enjoy your special day!!!!
Sharon
Hi Sharon - I sure could have used a friend in Baltimore! And you are so right about Hopkins, without a doubt the best in the world. Her surgeons were the only ones capable of performing her surgery. I am so thankful! My scale has been playing those same games... I'm not getting back on for awhile in case it decides to go back up!
Thanks, Cindee. I only wish she was coming home to New Orleans. She is going to do her rehab in Houston. New Orleans just doesn't have what she needs right now. Thankfully my mom and sister are in Houston and it is so much closer than Baltimore! Thanks for keeping her in your prayers. Most appreciated, Lisa
