OK, everyone... I'm going to do my very first horse show tomorrow. Indstead of standing out as the big women on her horse, naybe I'll just stand out as the talented horsewomen no one has seen before. It's just a local fun show but I have to start somewhere. I would never have done this 6 months ago.... Wish me luck! Darla

Good for you, hope you have a fabulous time. Participating is always more fun than observing unless it involves pain.

I wish you the best of luck, you will have so much fun! I know how much work even local shows are...been there done that but not for years! What events are you doing? Maybe next summer I will be brave enough to get on one of my Moms horses. Have a blast and let us know how you do....Our fingers are crossed!

Good luck. I've started riding again too. It's amazing what losing 85 lbs can do. I look forward to showing soon. Betsy Post pictures!

Well, I had a great time on Saturday... My morning started out great because I was able to pull on a pair of tan wranglers that belong to my husband and they fit me! YeeHaw! At the show my friend talked me into putting on the english saddle and doing a few classes... I don't ride English, I've only ever ridden western and I took 2nd place out of 6 people in the English Equitation class...LOL. My western classes weren't as good but I still placed in all of them. I had a great time... We also did some gaming after lunch and I tell you what figure 8 was a blast, my horse ran fast and my balance was great, never once did I think I was too fat to be out there showing and running the games. I am so ready to do another show. I think my horse had a great time too, and he doesn't groan as much anymore since I've lost 95lbs... giddy-up! Thanks everyone for your encouragment and support! Darla
